Meet Brian Globokar – A Wealth Management Leader Dedicated to Personalized Service and Community Impact

Brian Globokar is a Senior Vice President and serves as the Director of Trust and Wealth Management Services at Hills Bank. He leads a talented team of financial professionals dedicated to providing personalized investment strategies, estate, financial and retirement planning, and holistic financial solutions to individuals, families, businesses and non-profits.

After earning his degree at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, Brian began his professional career as a pension plan consultant for Hewitt Associates in the Chicago area.  Brian moved to Iowa in 2000 to be closer to family.  Initially joining Hills Bank as a 401(k) specialist working with area business on their retirement plans, Brian went on to obtain his Certified Financial Planner® designation.  After spending time with the Bank in both the Johnson and Linn County markets, he took on his current leadership role within the Trust and Wealth Management department in 2020.

Outside of work, Brian has been very involved in the communities in which he has lived and worked:

  • As a board member of both St. Luke’s Hospital and the St. Luke’s Foundation, where he chairs the finance committee.
  • A member of the Catherine McAuley Center Endowment Committee, a position he began after serving on their board for six years.
  • Brian is a proud Rotarian and past president of the Cedar Rapids Daybreak Club.
  • As part of the Cedar Rapids Metro Rotary Clubs, Brian has been heavily involved with the Pribyl Junior Golf Classic, serving as co-chair of that event since 2018.
  • On the district level, Brian also currently serves as Club Liaison for the Rotary Youth Exchange District 5970 Committee.
  • Brian also participates in numerous roles at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids.

Past volunteer and leadership roles include being a member of the Iowa City Regina school board, serving on the board of Pentacrest, Inc. (Pathways Adult Day Center), participating in the Iowa City Community Leadership Program, volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and serving on the board of AbbeHealth.

Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Brian has been a life-long fan of the Green Bay Packers.  He quickly became a fan of the Iowa Hawkeye when he met his wife, Beth, in college.  Together, they have three adult children.  In his spare time, Brian enjoys CrossFit, golf and live theatre.
