How do I transfer money into a different account?
To transfer money to an external (i.e. non-Hills Bank) checking or savings account, log in to your online banking account and select Pay/Transfer on the navigation menu, followed by Transfer Money. You can also transfer money between your accounts at Hills Bank, depending on the account type(s).
If you haven't yet set up the new external account you wish to use, choose Add My External Account. You will need the account and routing number of the account you wish to add.
Make Changes to Payments
You can review, edit, and cancel pending or scheduled/recurring transfers using the Activity Center in Hills Bank Online. Select the Pay/Transfers tab followed by Activity Center to see a breakdown of your previous transfers, as well as those that have yet to process or are scheduled to send on a future date.
Click the "Actions" menu on the right side of a transaction to view more details, edit the next payment in a recurring series, or even send a transaction inquiry if something doesn't look right.
Through online banking you can:
- Transfer funds between your own Hills Bank accounts
- Transfer funds to another Hills Bank customer
- Easily transfer one-time, future, or recurring transfers to another Hills Bank customer.
- Transfer funds to another person
- Send a person-to-person transfer without knowing their account information. All you need is their email address.
